Same-sex marriage referendum: No campaigner says Yes side more likely to win
A leading No campaigner in the same sex marriage referendum has said he believes the vote will be passed.
David Quinn of the Iona Institute said the No camp would continue to try to make their argument convincingly before the referendum in May.
He believes the Yes campaign has a lot of muscle behind it, but said he was not giving up.
"They have all the political parties on their side," he said. "Every second celebrity seems to be on their side; they will spend a lot more money; most of academia is on their side. So you would have to make them favourites to win.
"There is a chance the No side will win if the argument can be put convincingly to people. There is a chance the No side will win."
