Post mortem due on body found in Waterford garden

A post mortem is due to be carried out today on the body of a man found in Waterford city.

The remains were found in the garden of a house on Francis Street at around 2.30 yesterday afternoon. An ambulance was called, but the man was pronounced dead.

It is understood he was in his 40s or 50s, and the body is still at the scene.

The post mortem examination will be carried at Waterford Regional Hospital today.
