Motorcyclist dies in Leitrim road accident

A male motorcyclist, aged in his 20s, has died in a road accident in Co Leitrim today.
Gardaí at Carrick-on-Shannon are investigating the incident which occurred on the R202 road between Fenagh and Ballinamore at around 3pm today, when a car and a motorcycle were in collision.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene and his body has been removed to Sligo General Hospital.
No other injuries were reported.
The road remains closed to facilitate a forensic collision investigation and local diversions are in place.
