Judgment reserved in Brian O’Donnell trespass proceedings

The High Court has reserved judgment in trespass proceedings against solicitor Brian O'Donnell.

Earlier, representatives for the Bank of Ireland told the Court that Mr O'Donnell had no "legal basis" for his "Walter Mitty" assertions that he had a right to reside at the Gorse Hill mansion in Killiney, South Dublin.

Mr Justice Brian McGovern told the High Court that after several hours of proceedings - he will reserve judgment until an unspecified time and date.

He believes he had a right to residence at Gorse Hill in Killiney since 2000 – and claims that the bank was aware of this.

Representatives for the Bank of Ireland have said there is no 'legal basis' for Mr O'Donnell's claim to be allowed to stay at the mansion.
