Police in the North are appealing for witnesses to a hijacking in the early hours of this morning.

Police in the North are appealing for witnesses to a hijacking in the early hours of this morning.

It happened in the Orpen Road area of South Belfast at 12.45am.

A man and woman in their 20s were sitting in a car when they were approached by a man who threatened them and drove off with their vehicle.

The blue Citroen C3 was found in the Dunmurry area a short time later.

The man and woman were unhurt.

The suspect is described as being aged in his 40s, approximately 5’10" tall and of medium build.

He was wearing a red and white checked shirt and blue jeans.
