Man in hospital after Wicklow shooting

A man is being treated in hospital after a shooting in Co Wicklow last night.

The 58-year-old was shot as he answered the door to two men at a house in the Redford Park estate at about 9.30pm.

The men fled the scene of the attack in a small hatchback car.

The victim is in a stable condition in St Vincent's Hospital in Dublin.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses.
