Motorist dies in Meath road accident

A motorist has died in a collision near Batterstown in Co Meath.

It happened at around 4pm this afternoon.

It is understood that two vehicles were in collision and one of the drivers has been pronounced dead.

The Dublin to Trim Road near Batterstown is closed and diversions are in place.

MEATH: The Clonee/ Trim Rd (R154) is closed due to a crash approx 1km outside Batterstown on the Clonee side. Local diversions are in place.
