Almost a third of gay and bisexual staff harassed at work, study finds

Some 30% of gay and bisexual staff have claimed to have been harassed at work, a survey has found.
One in 10 respondents have said they quit a job because of discrimination.
The search is now underway to find the best workplaces for gay, bisexual and transgender staff.
Ireland's first Workplace Equality Index is being launched this morning.
Director of Workplace Diversity at GLEN, Davin Roche, has said that discrimination remains a problem for some gay and transgender workers.
"Research in Ireland and internationally has found, unfortunately, far too many LGBT employees have experienced harassment at work or have quit a job because of discrimination," he said.
"And we know that many LGBT employees are not comfortable disclosing their sexual orientation at work.
"We know this can be detrimental to LGBT employees but also has a negative impact for employers."
