300 cannabis plants seized in garda search on house

A man in his 50s has been arrested after almost €250,000 worth of cannabis plants were seized in Co Offaly.

Gardaí from Tullamore and Edenderry, assisted by the Regional Support Unit, searched a house at Coolcor in Rhode yesterday.

Some 300 plants were seized and a 50-year-old man was arrested.

He is being held at Tullamore Garda station.
