Woman dies in Cork crash

A woman in her 40s has died following a collision in Co Cork.

The two car crash happened at Coppeen East on the Bantry Line at around 9am this morning.

The body of the woman, who was the sole occupant of the car, was taken to Cork University Hospital.

It is understood the driver of the second car was not seriously uninjured.

The road remains closed while gardaí examine the scene.
