Missing Longford family found safe and well

A family of eight who were last seen on Wednesday have been found safe and well, it has been confirmed.

Police in the North had said they were increasingly concerned about the whereabouts of the family from Longford who had been missing since earlier this week.

John Kelly, Melissa Teague and their six children had been living in the Ballymartin area of Co Down.

The children are aged from nine months to five years and were last seen with their parents on Wednesday.

The PSNI appealed for information and said that, thanks to communications from the public, the family had been located in the Republic, safe and well.
