'Sad day for Dublin' as homeless man found dead

Gardaí are investigating the death of a homeless man in Dublin's Temple Bar.
The man, who was a foreign national aged in his 50s, was found on Cow's Lane.
He was pronounced dead shortly before 9am this morning.
It is understood he was a regular user of services at Merchant's Quay Ireland and had been ill in recent weeks.
Gardaí say they do not suspect foul play. The death comes just over a month after homeless man Jonathan Corrie was found dead close the Dáil.
Lord Mayor of Dublin Christy Burke said it is a sad day for the city.
"It was met with sadness and with darkness this morning when I heard again, because it's a spot where my own group, Inner City Helping Homeless, feed homeless people on a regular basis," he said.
"It's a very sad day for the family of that individual."
