Gardaí seize €120k of cannabis plants in Wicklow

Gardaí have seized around €120,000 worth of cannabis plants and arrested a man in Co. Wicklow.

Officers searched a house at Cherrymount, Avoca,yesterday afternoon and found around 150 cannabis plants with an estimated street value of €120,000.

A large amount of hydroponic/cultivation equipment was also seized.

A 30-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Pearse Street Garda Station where he was detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.

He has been released without charge and a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
