Groups claim symphysiotomy payment scheme violates human rights

There is a call for fundamental changes to the Government's Symphysiotomy Payment Scheme.

The Irish Council for Civil Liberties, Amnesty International and the group representing women who underwent the procedure during childbirth say the current scheme violates human rights obligations.
