Man dies after being knocked down in Mayo

A man has died after he was knocked down in County Mayo this morning.

He was hit by a vehicle on the N17 at Claremorris at 7.30am.

The road has been closed to allow for a forensic investigation and diversions are in place.

Anyone who was in the area at the time is being asked to contact investigating Gardaí.
