Investigations underway after two workplace deaths
The Health and Safety Authority are investigating after two people died in separate work-related accidents in Wexford and Roscommon.
Both scenes have been sealed off.
The first incident occured when a man in his 50s fell into a grain storage unit and became trapped in Cooladine in Enniscorthy, Co Wexford. Efforts to release him were unsuccessful.
It happened shortly before 9am yesterday morning.
Separately, in Roscommon, another man - also in his 50s - received serious injuries when a pile of steel fell on him at a steel plant in Ballaghaderreen at around 11am yesterday.
