ESB switches power off until water recedes in Wexford

The ESB has switched off power supply to some homes and businesses in Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford, as flood water continues to affect parts of the town.

Up to 47 customers along the promenade will be without supply

ESB networks say the move is for safety reasons, and power will remain off until the water starts to subside.

Meanwhile, a major detour remains in operation in Enniscorthy with motorists on the N11 from Wexford to Enniscorthy being diverted at Kyle Cross.
