Temps of up to 18C likely this week

Higher temperatures are staging a comeback this week, Met Éireann has forecast.

Heavy showers mixed with extended dry periods are forecast for the days ahead.

A run of long, dry spells will start today. Temperatures are forecast to reach 17C today, and it will be very mild and humid.

Met Éireann says temperatures may reach 18C tomorrow, unusual for this time of year.

It will be sunny to start tomorrow with some showers in the afternoon. These may turn heavy later in the day, but it will remain mild.
