Customs seize almost €20k of cigarettes and tobacco in Limerick

Customs Officers have seized almost €20,000 worth of cigarettes and tobacco in Limerick.
In a joint operation with the Gardaí, officers from Revenue’s Customs Service seized 20,000 cigarettes and 22.5kg of tobacco with an estimated retail value of approximately €19,125 yesterday.
The ‘EM@IL’ brand cigarettes were seized from a vehicle and the ‘Eastender’ tobacco was seized in a follow-up search of a lock-up facility in the city.
An Irish man in his 40s is helping Gardaí with their inquiries and investigations are ongoing.M
