Dell announces 50 jobs for Dublin

Dell has announced another batch of new jobs in Dublin.

It is hiring another 50 workers at its base in Cherrywood, which will host a brand new research facility.

The new team will be responsible for expanding Dell's website to improve the customer experience.

Recruitment for software engineers and other testers will begin shortly.

Dell's Aonghus Hegarty says it is a further sign of Dell's commitment to Ireland.

Mr Hegarty said: "We're in three different locations between Dublin, Limerick and Cork. Over 2,300 employees across wide areas of businesses: services, marketing, sales, financial services.

"We announced 12 months ago the headquarters for a Dell bank for Europe for providing financial services here.

"This announcement today in our online, e-commerce business is very much aligning Dublin as a key location."
