ESB continue to repair outages as Cork records near-hurricane winds overnight

ESB repair crews are working to restore power to more than 6,500 homes and businesses after high winds caused blackouts.

Most of the damage was done in the southern half of the country as an Atlantic storm swept in yesterday and overnight but pockets of Donegal were also badly hit.
