Fire at St Patrick's Cathedral a 'false alarm'
A reported fire at Dublin's famous St Patrick's Cathedral was a false alarm, it is understood.
Five units of the fire brigade attended the scene in the city centre.
Units from Tara Street and Dolphin's Barn are currently at the scene after a report came in of a fire in the roof of the famous landmark.
However, it is understood steam coming off the roof was mistaken for smoke by a passer-by.
There are no reports of any injuries.
