Fewer ambulances available at 3pm due to shift changes
3pm is the worst time to fall ill in Dublin.
A spokesperson for the National Ambulance Service Representative Association said that due to a changeover in personnel between 3:15pm and 4:15pm there are less ambulances available.
The revelations came after two Gardaí took a tourist to hospital in a taxi because none of Dublin's 39 ambulances were available at that time.
A representative for the HSE told the Star that in that particular instance all emergency resources were engaged in other calls.
