Gardaí arrest three and seize around €278k of cannabis in two raids

Gardaí have arrested three people in two separate drug operations in Dublin and Donegal.
The Gardaí from the Organised Crime Unit seized €150,000 worth of cannabis as part of an ongoing investigation targeting the sale and supply of cannabis in north Dublin .
Around €60,000 worth of cannabis was seized when Gardaí stopped and searched a car on the N7 in Clondalkin yesterday evening.
A man in his 30s was arrested at the scene and detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 at Clondalkin Garda Station.
In a follow-up operation, cannabis with an estimated street value of €90,000 was seized at a house in Baldoyle.
A woman aged in her 20s was arrested at the scene and detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 at Coolock Garda Station.
Both can be detained for up to seven days.
In Co Donegal, an ongoing operation by Gardaí uncovered around €128,000 worth of cannabis plants at a house at Maherwarden, Portsalon, yesterday.
Gardaí found 321 cannabis plants and arrested a 28-year-old man who is being held at Letterkenny Garda station under the provisions of section 2 of the Crimnal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
