Man arrested after gun and drugs find in Dublin

Gardaí have arrested a man after finding two guns in Dublin yesterday.

Gardaí say they found the two handguns and a small amount of cocaine when they searched a 36-year-old man at Newlands Road, Lucan, at 6.30pm yesterday evening.

The man was arrested and is currently being held under Section 30 of the Offences against the State Act, 1939, at Ronanstown Garda Station.

He can be detained for up to 72 hours and inquiries are ongoing.
