Man dies in Co Clare farm accident

A man in his 50s has died in a farm accident in Co. Clare.

Just before 10pm last night, Gardaí and emergency services were called to a farm in Ballyea where a man had been fatally injured in an incident, believed to have involved a tractor and trailer.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene, which has now been sealed off.

The Health and Safety Authority is expected to begin an investigation later this morning.
