Elderly woman dies in Kilkenny road accident

A woman has been killed in a traffic accident in Co Kilkenny.

The woman in her late 70’s was killed after she was struck by a 4x4 car on Main St, Graiguenamanagh, at around 10am this morning.

Her body has been taken to Waterford Regional Hospital for a post mortem.

The road is closed as Gardaí carry out a forensic examination and local diversions are in place.
