Man held following drugs seizure in Cork

Gardaí in Cork have questioned a man in connection with the discovery of cocaine and cannabis in Watergrasshill.

The drugs - cocaine, cannabis herb and cannabis resin with a street value of €2,400 - were discovered when Gardai stopped and searched a vehicle.

During a follow-up search at a house in Ballincollig more cannabis herb with a street value of €3,000 was discovered.

The driver of the vehicle, a man in his late 30s, was arrested and taken to Fermoy Garda station for questioning.

He was later released and a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
