Gardaí to investigate allegations against people in Bus Eireann

The Dáil's Transport Committee is forwarding information to the Gardaí regarding serious allegations against individuals within Bus Eireann and bus operators who dealt with the company.

The Clerk of the Committee received documents from Bus Eireann regarding the allegations.

The Committee has taken legal advice on these documents and has decided the Clerk will forward the documents to the Gardaí.

The substance of the allegations falls outside the Committee’s remit and could potentially involve criminal wrongdoing and in that regard the Committee has agreed to refer to the Gardaí.
