Gilmore 'has no intention of resigning as Labour Party leader'

The leader of the Labour Party Eamon Gilmore says he is not going to get drawn into a "family row" ahead of next month's elections.

Eamon Gilmore has been responding to a call from MEP Phil Prendergast for a change of leadership for the party.

She has described Mr Gilmore's leadership as being in a state of "chronic inability" and is calling for Minister Joan Burton to replace him.

The Tánaiste says he has a job to do and he has no intention of stepping down as leader.
