A man is in a critical condition after an early morning stabbing in Waterford city.

A man is in a critical condition after an early morning stabbing in Waterford city.

The incident happened at St John's Lane around 7am.

Gardaí have made an arrest.

The victim is being treated at Waterford Regional Hospital.
