Social Welfare to demand repayments within weeks

The Department of Social Welfare is giving those who owe money 14 days to repay money owed.

According to The Irish Times, the department is writing to hundreds of former claimants looking for outstanding debts.

The department is owed an estimated €350m by both fraudsters and people who were overpaid by mistake.
