Gardaí arrest two in fraud investigation

Two men have been arrested by Gardaí investigating a multi-million euro fraud and money laundering operation.

Gardaí from the Bureau of Fraud Investigation, with the help of the Criminal Assets Bureau, arrested two men, in their 30s and 40s, in Dublin yesterday morning.

They were released last night, with a file being sent to the DPP.

Gardaí had previously arrested a 49-year-old man in Leitrim in February as part of a €4m investment fraud probe.

A significant amount of money in various bank accounts was frozen in relation to that arrest.

Investigations are ongoing.
