Two escape injury as shot fired at house in Wexford
A shot was fired at a house in Wexford town overnight.
The shot was fired at a downstairs room in the property on George's Street where two people were sitting at around 1am this morning.
Minor damage was caused to the house with only a window broken.
The person who discharged the firearm escaped from the area and Gardaí so far have not recovered the weapon.
A number of hours later a car was found burned out close to the Cleariestown area. Gardaí have not established it the two incidents are linked.
Both scenes have been sealed off and a technical examination will be carried out later this morning.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the incident.
