Motorist stabbed in Cork incident

A motorist has been stabbed in Cork after confronting a number of youths who may have thrown something at his car.

The 24-year-old man was stabbed in the stomach during the incident on Shandon Street on the north side of the city.

It is understood that his injuries are not life-threatening.

Gardaí are studying CCTV footage in a bid to identify the attackers.
