Local authorities to make decision on Dublin mayor elections tonight

Dubliners will find out tonight if they will get the option of electing their own mayor.

Three local authorities in Fingal, South Dublin and Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown are due to decide on whether to put a proposal on the issue to a public vote.
