Call for pyrite scheme to include more Mayo homes

A Mayo Fine Gael County Councillor is calling on the Department of the Environment to include dozens of homes in Erris which are effected by pyrite in the Government's compensation scheme.

The Department said problems with pyrite in bricks have not been identified until now and therefore were not included in the original redress scheme.
