Search continues for missing man in Lough Ree

A search for a man who went missing on Lough Ree in the midlands since Thursday is set to resume this morning.

The young father was among three men from Northern Ireland whose boat capsized close to Athlone.

A 27-year-old, who was rescued, died in hospital and a third man is in a critical condition.

Search efforts, including the Coastguard helicopter, Garda water unit and Lough Ree Lifeboat have been continuing over the past two days.
