Gardaí release woman quizzed over fatal apartment blaze

A woman who was being questioned about an apartment block fire in Co Cork in which two men died has been released without charge.

A file is being prepared for the DPP.

John Palmer (aged 37) and 36-year-old Greg Lonergan died after a fire broke out at their second floor apartment in the Granary Court complex on St Joseph's Road in Mallow, shortly after midnight last Wednesday night.

Two others in the apartment, were rescued by gardaí.
