A mother of five who lost her husband after a year long battle with cancer only to see her home badly damaged in a fire two weeks before Christmas was celebrating yesterday as the family moved back in to their newly refurbished family home following a fundraising drive.

Update 12.11pm: A spokesperson for the Garda Síochána confirmed that the cause of a fire at a Mallow school last night "would not appear to be suspicious."

A woman who was being questioned about an apartment block fire in Co Cork in which two men died has been released without charge.
