A man in his early 40s will appear in court tomorrow morning charged in connection with a major drugs seizure in Dublin.

€2.5m worth of cannabis was discovered by detectives on Friday when they carried out raids at a number of houses in Coolock in the city.

The find is believed to be connected to serious organised crime. He will appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice tomorrow morning.

Separately, another man has appeared in court charged in connection with a drugs seizure in Co Wicklow.

Cannabis plants worth an estimated €130,000 were discovered when Gardaí carried out a planned search of a house in Rath Na Bo, in Blessington, yesterday.

He was formally charged at a special sitting of Naas District Court this afternoon.
