UTV Ireland to launch in January 2015

UTV has signed a ten year contract for a new television service in the Republic of Ireland.

The deal was signed today with the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland.

UTV Ireland says it plans to start broadcasting here in 2015.

The deal will see TV3 shows 'Coronation Street' and 'Emmerdale' move to the new network.
