Emergency workers rescue stricken kayaker from river

A man has been rescued from the River Nenagh by the crew of the Lough Derg lifeboat.

Members of the emergency services including the gardaí and local fire crew had tried unsuccessfully to recover the man from the side of the river and called on the RNLI lifeboat crew from Lough Derg to launch and help rescue him.
