Economist claims Irish Water employing 2,300 more staff than needed

A high-profile economist is warning that Irish Water is overspending on staff by up to €2bn.

Professor John Fitzgerald of the ESRI said the agency will pay more than 4,000 staff - when it only needs about 1,700.
