Two investigations launched into death of three-year-old in Galway lift shaft

The three-year-old boy who died in a lift shaft in Galway yesterday has been named locally as Solomon Soremekun.

At about 3pm yesterday, he became separated from his Nigerian-born mother and two other siblings and entered a lift shaft in the three-storey Hynes Building on Augustine Street.
