A new report by the Health Information and Quality Authority has highlighted serious child protection issues at a high dependency support unit for teenagers in the north east Dublin area.

The unannounced inspection of Crannog Nua which took place in October found that some practices within the unit did not meet basic child protection standards placing them at risk.
