Man dies in Cork accident

An elderly man has died in a road accident in Cork this evening.

The 80 year-old motorist died when his car collided with another car on the Bandon to Kilbrittain Road shortly after 6pm.

The driver and three passengers in the second car were uninjured in the accident. The scene of the crash is closed and diversions are in place.
