Thousands expected at Belfast flag protest

Thousands of people are expected to take part in a flag protest in Belfast later.

It is understood up to 40 bands could be involved in the march - which marks a year since Belfast City Council voted to restrict the number of days the Union Flag flies over City Hall.

It used to be raised above the building every day.

Retailers in Belfast are concerned at the effects of flag protests on trade, which was severely impacted by last year's demonstrations.
