Man arrested over theft from National Library of Ireland

A man has been arrested over the theft of historical items from the National Library of Ireland.

Gardaí say they carried out a planned search at a house in the Clonsilla area of Dublin early today.

During the operation detectives recovered a large number of books and pamphlets, some of historical value.

The 35-year-old suspect is being questioned at Lucan Garda station.
