A man has been shot in both legs in a gun attack, gardaí said tonight.

A man has been shot in both legs in a gun attack, gardaí said tonight.

Two men are being hunted after the 59-year-old man was set upon in a housing estate.

Gardaí said the incident occurred on Dunsoughly Drive in Finglas, north Dublin, at about 8.30pm.

The man’s injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

He was taken to James Connolly Memorial Hospital in Blanchardstown for emergency surgery.

Gardaí said the attack took place on the street and the two attackers fled the scene on foot.
